The first time I met Emily and Biddy in person was at their engagement session about 1-2 months before their wedding day. We met at his family farm to drive around the property and take photos and man, it was just STUNNING! The farm is also where the wedding was planning to take place as well. So we drove around and got some ideas for the big day that was approaching in just a handful of weeks!
Emily and Biddy live on his family property that is nearly 800 acres, just beautiful might I add! So we started out at their house where the girls were all getting ready. We shot details and a few shots of Emily getting into her dress and her shoes. Her bridesmaids were so helpful throughout the whole process and from the moment I met them, I knew they were going to be so fun to be around and such a tremendous help throughout the day!
After all the girls and Emily got dressed, we drove to another part of the property, the horse stables, where the wedding was set to happen. We did Emily and Biddys first look and also some solo bride and groom portraits. I told Emily when we were shooting that I honestly think she is one of the most photogenic brides I have ever shot - true beauty!
After some wedding party shots and the ceremony, we drove across the highway to another part of the property to a lookout over the North Georgia Mountains. We were hoping for an epic sunset, but the clouds had moved in a lot. The end result of the photos are still stunning. Luckily at their engagement session, we came to the same place and got those epic sunset shots.
Can we also take a moment to appreciate this classic wedding look we have going on?! The black tux, the classic flowers, and this old Hollywood hairstyle Emily has going on. It is just so beautiful! I think nowadays, a lot of couples are really into very trendy and creative weddings, which I do love those, but this look Emily and Biddy created for their day was just classic. Their wedding will be timeless forever!
Now onto reception time! Again the classic white tent and the string lights - to die for. This day was also the day of the SEC championship with UGA and Alabama so there was a big TV set up and a lot of guests gathered around with drinks and mingled while watching the game together. That still didn't get all guests off the dance floor!
This day had the most perfect weather - mild, little bit of sun, but mostly overcast... for a wedding in December? Praise Jesus! We had the best time with Emily, Biddy, and their family! We wish them all the best!
